Holiday Trav-L Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Holiday RV, Virginia Beach – a truly unique campground, and we will be returning! 4 pools, shuttle to the beach, amazing bike paths at the beach, free parking at the beach for campers if you do decide to drive.

coffee shop, entrance to one pool
A couple stores throughout the campground

interesting statues which add character

Parties at night with bands and anything goes – no people running around exerting rules at 11pm, yelling at kids to tone it down, or cars to slow down. But everyone is reasonable. Parents are responsible for their own kids, and everyone has fun. This is what camping is meant to be like. (if you like a little action and excitement – it is not quiet here!  Sometimes we get tired of the heavy-handed campground owners when most people are being really good....) people singing and dancing at night – partying by the pool, throwing balls in the pool. Fun!
Finally a place where we are allowed to have fun in the pool!

Bands at night by the pool!

Mostly French Canadians – we were some of the few English.  Amazing sites and amazing rigs!

We want a grape myrtle tree!

And the jets!!! the jets – fly over every 5 minutes – the park seems to be directly beside Oceana Air Force Base - early in the week – Monday, seemed to be training day, and they were every five minutes – low, low, low – just over the campground.

How low can you go?  Very low!!

Huge, clean, well kept, close to town – has everything!

Did we mention they have interesting statues?

another pool....

and another....

Love the sound of the cicadas at night! (combined with jets and party music!)

Mom went to the hospital - blood clot!   Lesson learned - get out during long drives and walk around!   This is the site that made us realize we needed to go to the hospital!    We were lucky!  Check it out!

We will be back to Virginia Beach - amazing boardwalk, great atmosphere!  Amazing hospital- great to Canadians!  Thank-you!
