Kiptopeke State Park, Virginia

path down to the beach

they used 9 old concrete World War II boats as breakwaters - can you believe it - they are made of concrete?

We are at Kiptopeke, on Chesapeake Bay.  The beach is gorgeous.  Yesterday, we went across the Chesapeake Bay bridge, which is 22 miles long.  There are 2 tunnels under the water and it feels like you are doing a nosedive.  At the pier on the bridge, my brother fished and the people beside us caught lots and lots of skates.  Then we went to Virginia Beach and walked the boardwalk and we ate at the Golden Corral.

We went to alittle shop there and we picked out a design from the wall, and they put it on shirts and gave it to us.  I found a trick laser pointer - there are two buttons - the bottom one is a light, and the top ones shocks you as a joke.  I said to my brother- try the top button, and he did, and he got zapped.

Every day is high 90s and it is the hottest weather we have ever had!  We are very, very, hot.
